Frack

In these four drawings, presented as two diptychs, I examine the environmental impacts and devastation of the extraction of oil through the practice of fracking. In keeping with the previous Corpo series of drawings, these works simultaneously present data, information, collage, informational fragments, text and forms vacillating between the real and surreal. One drawing illustrates the history of fracking. Two drawings expose the water and air pollution that results from this extraction. The final drawing maps the location and intensity of earthquakes caused by fracking.
